Reopening Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage

We are finally reopening! From Wednesday, May 19, Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage will be able to receive guests again, after being closed for almost five months. In the coming weeks you will visit us with a 25% discount.

Our reopening is a moment we all have been really looking forward to. In the coming weeks, however, a visit will look a little different than normal. By order of the government, our indoor visitor locations will remain closed until June 8. Unfortunately this means that we are temporarily not allowed to receive guests in, for example, our museum mills. But there is still more than enough left to enjoy! Our millers and volunteers welcome you with open arms on the beautiful mill yards and tour boats!

The beautiful millyards can be visited again.

Parking

From Wednesday May 19 to Tuesday June 8 we offer our online entrance tickets with a 25% discount. There is a takeaway counter at the Visitors Centre, just like at the yard of the Blokweer Museum Mill. The shop is open daily, a maximum of four guests can be inside at the same time. On weekdays, visitors park their car at the Zuiderstek in Alblasserdam. From there, shuttle buses run to and from the entrance of the windmill area from 9 a.m. On weekends, visitors park their car at the parking lot from Royal IHC shipyard, that means there are no shuttle buses on the weekends. We hope to see you soon!
