Reduced entrance fees and free parking

Of course, we are taking the adjusted opening hours and limited access to some of our top attractions into account. From the beginning of January until February 16, our entrance tickets are considerably cheaper than during the main season. Entrance fees are only € 4.50 for adults, € 2 for children (4 – 12 years) and free entrance for children under 4 years. This way, we achieve two goals at once: our World Heritage receives the maintenance it deserves, while at the same time, anyone can come by and enjoy everything that makes Kinderdijk so attractive; especially during the colder months. Be sure to make use of our winter discount rates, and relish a picture-perfect Dutch scene of classical windmill silhouettes rising against cloudy winter skies, as the wind whistles in the reeds. As an added benefit, the discount on the entrance fees and our free parking will save you a bit of budget to spend on a lovely cup of hot chocolate!

Some of the visitor’s locations are closed. Visit museum windmill Blokweer and Souvenirshop The Molenhoek daily from 10am to 4pm.

Alternative opening hours

From January 1 until February 16, 2018, our windmill area is accessible as usual via the regular entrance. Although some of the visitor’s points are closed, our museum windmill Blokweer is open for all visitors, allowing everyone to personally experience a historical Dutch polder windmill from the inside. We are also waiting to receive you in our souvenir shop and catering facility The Molenhoek. These locations are daily opened from 10am to 4pm, so you can count on us to keep you informed, well-fed and warm this winter if you feel the need.
