Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage is switching to winter mode

On Friday November 1, we are switching to winter mode here at Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage. This means that from that point onwards, our daily opening times are from 10am until 4.30pm. We switch back to summer mode on February 29.

On some national holidays, our opening hours are slightly different to match the special occasion. Christmas Day is the only date when we are closed for the whole day. From January 1 our closing time is 4pm. Our Hopper tour boat with onboard heating will remain operational all through the winter. In the cold winter months, we are adding some extra warmth and atmosphere to our visitor locations. For the first time ever, all visitor locations will remain open throughout the month of January.

At our Visitors Centre, you’ll always find a choice of wintery dishes and warm drinks. Come on in and warm your bones over a nice cup of hot chocolate to lose the chill of your stroll around the World Heritage grounds. While you’re at it, why not try another true Dutch seasonal treat: a nice and wholesome bowl of steaming pea soup. If you’re visiting with a group of at least 15 and no more than 25 persons, we have a special Winter Group Deal ready for you.
