Kinderdijk reopens!

On February 15 we will open our visiting locations to the public again and that means we will also open our temporary photo exhibition. The winning photos of our photo competition will then be shown for a month at the Visitor Center!

In the vicinity of Kinderdijk UNESCO World Heritage, there is more to enjoy than Dutch windmills alone. You'll discover that the area around Kinderdijk is home to some of the best cycling routes of the Netherlands. If you fancy exploring the heart of South Holland in true Dutch fashion, bring a bike, or rent one right next door to our windmills.

Official cycling routes such as the LF11 Prinsenroute or the Knooppuntenroute will not only take you to all the marvels of Kinderdijk World Heritage; you'll also have a first-hand experience of the polderland tale, in which our windmills have kept the soil dry for centuries.

Hikers are in for a treat as well, strolling along quiet dike roads and old polder lanes. Broad rivers serve as frames for views from a Dutch Master's canvas. Rotterdam, Gouda, Dordrecht, of Delft are just around the corner: here, you walk or pedal straight through the history of the Netherlands.
