Kinderdijk is in the middle of a number of beautiful cycling routes. Explore the typical Dutch landscape full of wind, water and meadows by bike. In our Kinderdijk app (Kinderdijk UNESCO Official) you will find various cycling routes. Once arriving at the World Heritage Site, you get access to all our visiting locations with your entrance ticket purchased online.

With more than fifty windmills, a cycling route through the Albasserwaard is recommended to anyone who wants to experience Holland up close. Kinderdijk is easily accessible by bicycle from nearby cities such as Gouda, Dordrecht and Rotterdam. With the Waterbus you travel within half an hour from Rotterdam and Dordrecht to Kinderdijk in the summer. You’re not coming to Kinderdijk on your own bicycle, but you do want to ride one to discover our area? We do not rent out bikes ourselves, but we do know people who do:
